This Privacy Policy describes how PointFoundry ("the app", "we", "us") handles your information. PointFoundry is developed by JZA Applications.

The data PointFoundry works with

PointFoundry captures and stores:

• Camera and depth data. While a scan is running, the app uses the rear LiDAR scanner or the TrueDepth camera to capture depth and build a 3D point cloud and mesh of what you are scanning.
• Scan information. The resulting point clouds, meshes, thumbnails and any settings for each scan.
• Anything you name or note. Scan names and any text you choose to enter.

You decide what to scan, and you can rename or delete any scan at any time.

Where your data is stored

Your scans are stored locally on your device. We, the developer, have no access to any of it. There is no PointFoundry account, no developer-operated server, and no copy of your scans held by us.

If you back up your device, your PointFoundry data may be included in that backup, which is governed by Apple's terms and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Camera and LiDAR

PointFoundry requests camera access so it can use the camera and LiDAR scanner to capture 3D scans. This capture happens entirely on your device to produce the point cloud and mesh. Your camera feed and depth data are not transmitted to us and are not shared with any third party for advertising, profiling or tracking.

You can revoke camera access at any time in your device's Settings, though the app cannot capture a scan without it.

Files you export and share

PointFoundry can export your scans to standard 3D formats, including OBJ and STL. These files are written on your device and go only where you send them. If you choose to share a file — by AirDrop, Messages, email or any other app — that transfer is handled by the app or service you picked, and is subject to its own privacy terms.

Purchases

PointFoundry offers unlimited scanning as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime unlock. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your name, payment card, or other payment details. Your entitlement is read directly from the App Store and tied to your Apple Account, which is how it restores across your devices and reinstalls.

Purchases are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Specifically, PointFoundry:

• Does not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• Does not maintain developer-operated servers that receive your scans.
• Does not create user accounts with us or require you to provide an email or password.
• Does not track you across apps or websites.

Children's privacy

PointFoundry is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your control over your data

You can delete any individual scan within the app. Deleting the app removes the data held on that device. Camera access can be changed or revoked at any time in your device's Settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
